EBOS Day 4 (last one)

East Bay Open Studios finished really well. I was in San Luis Obispo for my sister’s college graduation, so I wasn’t able to make it Saturday. Early on Sunday morning, I drove back up to the Oakland to attend the last day of the show. To my surprise, one my art pieces was missing, and in it’s place was a nice red dot. I was excited to hear the story of how the piece sold. It’s a good feeling to have good things happen even when you’re not there.
(more after the jump…)
The rest of the day went really well. One gentleman saw some prints he liked on Saturday and showed up on Sunday to buy a couple from me, Mike, and also Lexi. A lot of friends came through, and I was even able to make a couple more sales. All in all, it was great to meet new people and to talk to ( and engage with ) other people. It’s neat being on the other side of Open Studios. I like being able to show what I’m working on. Usually I’m the one asking questions.
I was really worn out after Sunday. I like meeting folks, and talking to people, but after a while, it just tires me out. I think there’s something to social stamina, and maybe I’ll get more used to it after I show a bit more. In any case, thanks to everyone who’s visited, checked out the art, and just been positive about my work and showing process. I really appreciate all of the support and feedback.

One of my favorite things was the guestbook. People were really encouraging in their comments of the work. I still need to write a bit thank-you to folks who signed.

Still love the piece that we bought when you were not there. It fits in great with our other art and our home.
